For more than 65 years, Newport Folk has been a place where unforgettable things happen. Some of those moments have become part of music history. Others live in tapes, photographs, recordings, stories, and corners of the archive that few people have ever had the chance to see or hear.
The Vault is where we’re going to start opening that archive.
Every week, we’ll share something special with Newport Folk members—rare and unreleased performances, audio, photographs, stories, and other pieces of Newport history that we think deserve to be seen, heard, and remembered.
Some will be moments you know, seen from a perspective you’ve never experienced before. Others may be things you never knew existed.
There’s no algorithm and no endless feed. Just one piece from the Vault, every week, chosen by us and shared with you.
This is a new experiment for Newport Folk, and you’re among the first people we’re inviting inside. As we dig deeper into the archive, we hope The Vault becomes a way to celebrate not only the artists who have stood on our stages, but the remarkable history this community has created together.
